UK tip of the day

As you're walking around the city, you might notice these things:

And you might think that it's very nice that the Brits have given you such a clearly marked place to cross the street.

Which it is.

HOWEVER, do NOT take that to mean that you have the freedom to just saunter across the street as if you own the place. Oh no. Because you do not.

You see, in England, pedestrians do not have the right of way.

It will take some time, but you will figure it out (hopefully without TOO many near-misses).

BUT WAIT.

They do have these nifty things called zebra crossings. They're super-cool. So cool, in fact, that the crosswalk from Abbey Road is now a zebra crossing!

In zebra crossings, pedestrians have the right of way.
