When the sun decides to come out, this is a really beautiful town.

Day sixty-two in Oxford
My shadow at noon. The low angle of the sun makes it feel like a perpetual late afternoon.

He was an abandoned beer bottle. She was a lone glove. They said their love would never last.
They were wrong.

Day Forty in Oxford
The photo is actually from Sunday, but I've been too sick to think.
This glass, along with its brown liquid remnants and double-stirrers, sat there politely from Friday morning to at least Sunday morning. I haven't been past there since to check on it, but I'll update later!

Day twenty-nine in Oxford
Oxfords in Oxford. Ironic, right? Or meta? Or... not-quite-punny?

UK tip of the day
And you might think that it's very nice that the Brits have given you such a clearly marked place to cross the street.
Which it is.
HOWEVER, do NOT take that to mean that you have the freedom to just saunter across the street as if you own the place. Oh no. Because you do not.
You see, in England, pedestrians do not have the right of way.
It will take some time, but you will figure it out (hopefully without TOO many near-misses).
BUT WAIT.
They do have these nifty things called zebra crossings. They're super-cool. So cool, in fact, that the crosswalk from Abbey Road is now a zebra crossing!
In zebra crossings, pedestrians have the right of way.

Day One
The sign for Banbury road, where I power-walked the 2.5 miles to the housing agent's office to sign my tenancy contract, then the 2.5 miles back... my feet will be hurting tomorrow!
